    KCB Appoints Dr James Bagaka as Non-Executive Director

    KCB Group has appointed Dr James Obuya Bagaka as Non-Executive Director on its board with effect from 6th October, 2020.

    Dr Bagaka brings to the boardroom, vast experience and expertise in Public Administration, Policy and Strategy. He has 12 years of experience in Public Finance and Budgeting, Governance, Capacity Building as well as Research and Policy Development in both the public and private sectors.

    At present, Dr Bagaka provides consultancy and advisory services to public and private organizations. He previously worked as a Technical lead on Governance and Institutional Strengthening for a UK-based Department for International Development (DFID) program: the Sustainable Urban Economic Development(SUED).

    Dr Bagaka has a PhD in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University(USA), Masters in Public Administration( Minnesota State University-USA), BA in Political Science and Philosophy( University of Nairobi) and is a member of the Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management.

    He has previously headed a World-Bank funded program on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for the South African based Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results.

    He also held a senior position at the Kenya School of Government as Head of Research and Advanced Training.

    Beyond providing advisory services to governments in Kenya, South Sudan and Somalia, Bagaka has widely consulted for USAID, DFID, European Union, UNDP and the World Bank on governance and capacity development.
