Kakuzi Plc has appointed lawyer Pamella Ager as an independent director to the board of Kakuzi Plc.
Kakuzi Chairperson Nicholas Ng’ang’a announced that Ager would begin serving as a board member on April 1, 2023. This move is in line with the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)-a listed company’s efforts to increase diversity within its leadership team.
Over the years, Kakuzi Plc has been actively working to adopt world-class corporate governance standards. We have made commendable progress by adopting several operating policies. As we welcome Ms Ager, I am confident that the Board will greatly benefit from her wealth of experience, counsel and contributions as we seek to steer Kakuzi to greater heights.

The corporate legal advocate of the High Court of Kenya also serves as the managing partner at Oraro & Company Advocates.
Ager obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand and a first-class honours master’s degree in law from Auckland University.
In addition, she holds a diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Ager is a member of several professional organizations, including the Law Society of Kenya, the Federation of Women Lawyers, the East African Law Society, and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.
She is a member of the Institute of Directors in Kenya. Also, she serves on the boards of multiple education and non-profit organizations.
