PineBridge Investments East Africa Ltd is a leading and respected investment management company with offices in Nairobi and Kampala. The company is looking to hire a skilled, highly motivated, ambitious and self-driven Investment Manager who will work closely with multiple professionals in a dynamic investment team. This position will provide broad exposure to all aspects of the investment process and will primarily be based at our Nairobi office.
Main responsibilities:
- •Liaising with institutional clients on an on-going basis and assist in new client acquisition (sales and relationship management)
- •Assessing and interpreting financial information and making informed investment recommendations.
- •Researching companies and regularly meeting with company managers to discuss business prospects
- •Maintaining a database of economic, market and financial market data
- •Giving written and oral investment presentations including, economic and financial market commentaries
Desired Skills and Experience
- •Undergraduate degree (typically Commerce, Economics, Actuarial). Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
- •CFA Charterholder or demonstrated progress towards achieving CFA qualification
- •Ability to develop and nurture business contacts
- •Superior quantitative, analytical, writing and communication skills
- •Working knowledge of portfolio management, construction and optimization.
- •Knowledgeable of business and industry trends (i.e. macro-economic, socio-political, industry, etc)
- •Must be able to work independently and within a group
- •Willingness to abide by Code of Ethics and file related compliance certifications
- •A self-starter capable of generating his/her own ideas
