Kenyan hip-hop artist Juliani has been chosen to participate in the Spring Global Program of the Eisenhower Fellowship, which will be held in the United States from early April to mid-May.
Juliani, an accomplished hip-hop artist, entrepreneur, ambassador, speaker, and activist, has been actively involved in community empowerment initiatives through his foundation, Dandora Hip Hop City. The foundation’s primary goal is to transform the lives of those living in Dandora, which is known to be one of Nairobi’s most challenging neighbourhoods and also happens to be the place where he grew up.
The Eisenhower program honours President Dwight D. Eisenhower, where Eisenhower Fellow brings together innovative leaders from across geographies and professional sectors to tackle big challenges and improve the world. Since 1953, more than 2,400 mid-career leaders from 115 countries have benefitted from the unique experience of an Eisenhower Fellowship. Each Fellow travels on a customized itinerary designed to serve their project goals. They visit eight to 10 U.S. cities and meet dozens of experts in their fields.
We welcome these emerging leaders into the influential global network of Eisenhower Fellows who have been working to better their societies for nearly seven decades.
