Job Description 

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable senior business journalist to join our editorial team. This role offers the opportunity to lead coverage across various financial sectors by delivering compelling stories in diverse formats. The ideal candidate will excel in both quick-turnaround reporting on breaking news and in-depth market analysis.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, capable of thriving under pressure and navigating diverse subject matter with ease. As a Senior Reporter, you will be responsible for producing concise and impactful edits that resonate with a wide audience, from seasoned investors and business leaders to the general public seeking to understand market dynamics and their daily implications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop both short-form and long-form content, ranging from brief bulletins to complex enterprise pieces.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the newsroom to develop and refine story ideas, ensuring clarity and relevance for our readers.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into accessible language, making our content engaging and understandable for all audiences.
  • Lead high-impact investigative stories that elevate our market coverage and set a benchmark for quality journalism.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and a keen understanding of economic trends.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting clear and compelling prose under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment, working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will possess intellectual curiosity, sound news judgment, and a proven track record of excellence in financial journalism. They will demonstrate the ability to build and leverage professional networks, from engaging with industry leaders to mining data for valuable insights.
