Low-cost carrier Jambojet has started direct flights from Mombasa to Kisumu and Eldoret after the airline received a green light from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. The carrier will begin operating the direct flights from October 2, connecting the East Coast to the Western region.
“We continuously listen to our customers’ needs and are happy that we can now connect the Western region to the Coastal region with the introduction of these direct flights,” said Titus Oboogi, the Head of Sales and Marketing in a press release.
Flights will leave Mombasa for Kisumu every Friday and Sunday at 1505 hrs, arriving in Kisumu at 1555 hours. Similarly, the carrier will leave for Eldoret at 1315hrs and arrive in Eldoret at 1505hrs. Flights to Mombasa will leave Kisumu and Eldoret at 1615 and 1525hrs respectively, arriving at the coastal city at 1805hrs.
Customers can book for their tickets at an introductory price of Ksh 8900.
Jambojet had also sought for approval to fly from Kisumu to Eldoret-Malindi-Lamu. Meanwhile, the operator has six local destinations, flying to Malindi, Ukunda, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, and Nairobi.
