Jambojet Limited, the budget airline, has written to Kenya Airport Authority seeking for international scheduled air service license to 16 destinations.
The airline seeks to venture into Ethiopia, Tanzanian, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Botswana, Somaliland, Somalia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Union of Comoros, Malawi and Zanzibar.
Jambojet will use aircraft types DHC8, ATR72 and B737 based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Other airlines that have sought international air service licenses are
Kenya’s Safe Air Company (SAC) Limited for Somali and Somaliland routes, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Union of Comoros, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Burundi, South Africa and Zanzibar.
