    Jambojet Increases Flight Frequencies to Key Destinations as Prices Hike

    Jambojet has increased flight frequencies to its key destinations, including Mombasa, Malindi, Eldoret, Kisumu, and Ukunda routes. This follows increased demand ahead of the Easter holiday.

    Here is a breakdown of the routes and flight frequencies:

    • •Malindi: Four more flights on Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday mainly in the morning and afternoon, which brings to 27 the total number of flights it operates on the route in a week.
    • •Mombasa: Seven more flights in the morning and in the afternoon from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, bringing to 53 the total number of flights it operates on the route. The carrier operates Monday to Sunday on the route.
    • •Eldoret: Increased frequencies on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to operate 28 flights per week up from 24 mainly in the morning and in the afternoon.
    • •Kisumu: Four more flights on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, bringing to 28 the total number of flights it operates on the route in a week.
    • •Ukunda: Four more flights on Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, bringing to 18 the total number of flights it operates on the route in a week.

    Passengers travelling to Mombasa and Ukunda on Good Friday will pay KSh17,000 from as low as kSh5,800, which they would have paid this week on some of the flights to the coastal towns.

    Passengers travelling to Kisumu on Friday will part with kSh7,800 one way from a low of KSh5,800 if one was to travel today.

    The increased flight frequencies will be operational up to 23rd April 2022.

    Since its launch, Jambojet accounts for over 44% domestic market share and has flown over a 4.9million passengers on the 10 routes it operates in Kenya.

    The airline operates flights on 11 routes; From Nairobi to Mombasa, Malindi, Kisumu, Ukunda (Diani), Lamu, and Goma in Eastern DRC. It also operates flights from Mombasa to Lamu, Eldoret, and Kisumu.
