Nairobi based Hotel chain Intercontinental has announced the appointment of its former Resident Manager Oliver Geyer as the hotels new General Manager, following the appointment of Dieter Franke who is said to be heading to Egypt as the Group’s Area General Manager.
The 45-year-old has extensive experience spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry, having worked in Munich, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Prague, Muscat and for the last 8 years at the InterContinental Hotels in Europe and Middle East Africa.
His appointment comes at a time when the hospitality industry is expected to grow with the growing demand across Kenya, which has led to a number of multinational hotel brands setting up shop on the country and with the festive season expected to bring in more visitors.
