How to lay Payload mode in Warzone
What is the new Payload mode all about?
In this mode, we have 40 players divided into 2 teams. In each team, there are 20 players who are either defenders or attackers. The attacking team has the main goal of transporting a payload, in convoy, across town to a given location.
This is similar to Recon contracts in other Warzone modes. They need to kill the defenders and also complete the contract within a specific time frame. However, the time limit can be increased by passing the Satellite Part Point.
On the other hand, there’s the defending team, who are to delay or hinder the progress of the attacking team with the payload. To do this, they have to build strong obstacles at strategic points on the road. Lastly, they also need to kill as many attackers as they can reach.
Tips for playing Payload
- Get the right weapons.
Different scenarios in the game have different combat ranges. For example, the starting minutes of the game involves a lot of long-range combats. In this scenario, you need to have a good sniper rifle in your loadout.
We recommend the Kar98k as a good sniper choice and a C58 if you prefer long-range assault rifles. However, you may face some short-range combat situations at locations on the map. So, make sure you have an SMG or a shotgun handy.
- Stick with your team’s objective
It can be so much fun just to run off and kill as many enemies as you can. This is also part of the objective, but if the kills don’t help your team to achieve the game objective, they lose- and you lose as well.
So, if you’re on the attacking team, help your team to kill enemies that come close to the convoy. On the other hand, if you’re on the defending team, use your cash to buy impenetrable obstacles to barricade the attackers’ progress.
- Get some cash
Cash is important since you will need to stockpile a huge amount of it to purchase those important weapons and perks. Therefore, we recommend purchasing killstreaks and good long-range rifles once you have gathered enough cash. Some weapons you should get are C58, Swiss k31, Mac-10, and Kar98k. In addition, purchase perks such as Overkill, E.O.D., and Battle-hardened. For example, the Bomb Drone killstreak can help eliminate enemies in your path.
- Be a good Team player.
Payload is not for you if you are built strictly for solo games. The game automatically sets you up to play as a team. So, if you still want to play the game, you have to adapt to the rudiments of team play quickly.
Irrespective of your number of kills, if your team isn’t successful in completing its assigned objective, it amounts to failure. This directly implies your failure. Therefore, be creative with strategies that you can employ to amount to your team’s success.
As an attacker, device creative ways to build impenetrable barriers within the shortest possible time. Then, scout around for roadblocks in the convoy’s way and destroy them, eliminating any enemy that stands in the way of your team’s convoy.
Conclusion
Payload promises so much fun and immersive gameplay. But you need to know the basics of the game if you must achieve those wins. So, take the time to study the guide in this article to understand the game’s requirements.
Also, save some cash and buy some essential perks and weapons. Lastly, you must learn to adapt to team play irrespective of your gaming background. Because your team’s failure or success directly depends on you and directly implies yours too
