Housing Finance Settles on Robert Kibaara as its New Head

Housing Finance has settled on Robert Kibaara, former NIC Bank Director of retail banking, as its Managing Director.

Mr Kibaara takes over Frank Ireri, who notified the HF’s board that he would not seek another contract after the end of his four-year contract that ends in March 2019.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Banking from the University of Sunderland in the UK, a graduate diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing in UK and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Edinburgh Business School.

He comes at a time when HF’s trolley has veered off its course. HF Group posted Ksh332 million in Losses for the Q3 of the year, compared to Ksh159 million recorded in 2017 during the same period.

Mr Kibaara possesses over two decades of extensive banking experience having held various senior management positions with Barclays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and National Bank of Kenya.
