Enda, Kenya’s first high-performance shoemaker, has been acquired NVH Studios, a global fashion and lifestyle holding company, for an undisclosed amount.
- Enda raised its seed funding from Umoja Rubber Products and Mizizi Capital in November 2019.
- The company was founded by Navalayo Osembo and Weldon Kennedy in Iten in 2017.
- NVH Studios, Inc, was founded in New York in 2017.
“The acquisition opens doors to exciting possibilities,” the company said in a statement, “Expect new designs, enhanced product offerings, and an elevated experience.”
Enda Athletic’s products have been sold in more than 40 countries. In 2019, the startup conducted a crowdfunding campaign in 2019 to debut Lapatet in 2020.
It was not immediately clear whether its founders will stay on at the company in any capacity.
