HF Group plc has appointed Charles Kimani Njuguna as its Non-executive director effective January 14.
Charles Njuguna is currently the acting managing director at Britam Holdings Plc.
Charles Njuguna has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector having worked as a Chief Executive Officer with ABN Amro Bank, GT Bank, Old Mutual, and Family Bank. Charles has also served as the Managing Director at Faulu Microfinance Bank.
His appointment at HF Group takes effect the same day he assumed his role as the managing director at Britam Holdings.
Charles Njuguna takes over as Britam MD in an acting capacity from Tavaziva Madzinga, the outgoing Group MD whose resignation was accepted by the Board. He joined Britam in March 2021 as the Finance Director.
Britam’s board chairman Mr Kuria Muchiru said in a statement to shareholders that the Board had embarked on a search for a substantive Group Managing Director, a process that will be concluded in due course.

Charles holds an MBA, a Master’s in Finance from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from United States International University- Africa and is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries.
