Kenya government through the Central Bank will sell two-year and 15-year Treasury bonds worth up to Ksh 30 billion this month to support the budget. Central Bank said it will receive bids for the bonds between June 5 and June 14, and auction them on June 15.
This week on Wednesday June 8, Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury Mr Henry Rotich is scheduled to read the budget Statement.
“The 2016/17 Budget has been prepared against a backdrop of slower global growth and increased uncertainty,” Rotich earlier comments on the budget.
