Fund Managers, CAIA Associations Sign Strategic Partnership

The Fund Managers Association (FMA) Kenya and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association have signed a partnership to enhance the professional development of employees of FMA member firms.

    • •The CAIA Association is the global leader in alternative investment education, representing a network of professionals in 100+ countries.
    • •As the authority behind the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, CAIA equips investment professionals with the expertise to navigate a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
    • •In finance parlance, alternative investments are financial assets that do not fit into conventional categories.

“This collaboration strengthens our commitment to advancing investment knowledge and professional excellence in Kenya’s Asset Management sector,” FMA Chief Executive Officer Fred Mburu said.

“Through this partnership, employees of our member firms will benefit from enriched learning opportunities, equipping them with the skills needed to navigate the evolving alternative investment landscape,” he added.

The Fund Managers Association (FMA) was formed in 2008 with the objectives of promoting integrity and professionalism in the market, educating members’ employees, clients, intermediaries and other stakeholders as well as effectively lobbying regulators.

“We are excited to expand the CAIA Association’s global presence into this dynamic and rapidly growing region. This valuable partnership with FMA cements our commitment to advancing education and professionalism in the field of alternative investments. By empowering investment practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the evolving landscape of private markets, we aim to foster sustainable growth and innovation in Kenya’s investment sector,” CAIA Managing Director Laura Merlini, CAIA, CIFD, said.
