Barely weeks after a petition filed at the High Court to shut down AMACO Insurance was withdrawn, a fresh one has been lodged.
In a notice published in the Kenya Gazette, Volume CXXII No 42, dated 4th March, 2020, a petition for the liquidation of AMACO Insurance by the High Court was on the 2nd March 2020, presented to the said court by Mr. Bernard Kihiu Magothe.
This fresh winding petition will be heard before the High Court sitting at Nairobi on the 17th April, 2020 and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his advocate.
The petition is represented by Mr. Njoroge Baiya and Company Advocates.
At the beginning of this year, a similar court process was halted after the then petitioner withdrew the case.
Mr Magothe becomes the 7th person to open winding-up proceedings against AMACO Insurance, a firm accused of failing to settle claims and pay creditors.
