Forbes and Celo to Hold Virtual Event on the Future of CBDCs and Cryptocurrency

The momentum of Central Banks exploring and experimenting with Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) is increasing; but we’re still in early stages.

Forbes, a leading business media brand in partnership with Celo, brings you an exciting new high-level dialogue on the future of CBDCs and digital currencies on the 28th of September 2021.

The virtual event will assemble central bank leaders, private banking executives, and firms actively involved in planning/building this critical and evolving technology. They will explore the design decisions that central banks are making and how this new breed of money will provide security, foster trust, and move across borders.

    CBDCs Experiments

They will discuss some of the Key experiments considering what has worked and what hasn’t; and examine the value proposition of CBDCs to highlight the main concerns of CBDCs; such as the understanding of the technical framework and the need for regulatory and standardisation guidance.

Are CBDCs the right and best solution to help the industry overcome challenges on both a retail and wholesale perspective? There are so many unknowns, but the conversation is happening and collaboration is vital.
