Farmer’s Choice To Increase Prices Of Smokies By Ksh10

Lovers of Farmer’s Choice meat products should brace for sticker shock at various outlets as the firm’s management moves to increase prices from 25 November.

Food outlets and other vendors who serve sausages, bacon, smokies, brawns, porks, lamb, goats, reforms and hams may also be forced to pass the extra cost to their customers, or absorb the new prices which could impact on their profit margins.

With exception of back bacon, all bacon at its premises will be sold 5 per cent more. Smokies have not been left out, as it will increase by Ksh10.

Delicatessen products and choma sausages with exception of liver pate, bratwurst, beef pastrami and pepperoni will also increase by 5 per cent.

Other products targeted for the price hike include smoked mini bites that will increase by 5 per cent, all continentals except poultry viennas (5 per cent), all fresh pork except loins and chops (5 per cent), reforms (5 per cent), all fresh lamb and goat (5 per cent), and brawns (3 per cent).
