Family Bank Appoints Rebecca Mbithi as CEO

Kenyan based mid-tier lender Family Bank has announced the appointment of Ms. Rebecca Mbithi as its Chief Executive Officer, subject to approval by The Central Bank of Kenya.

Ms. Rebecca Mbithi is currently the Company Secretary and Director, Legal Services at Family Bank – a position she has held with the Bank for the last 4 years.

She takes over from Mr David Thuku who resigned in September last year, less than two years after taking over the reins of the bank.

Rebecca holds a Masters in Business Administration from United States International University and an LL.B degree from the University of Nairobi. She is a Certified Public Accountant and an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
