Eveready E.A Plc has notified its shareholders that it will delay publication of its audited financial statements for the period ended 30th September 2021.
“Due to unavoidable circumstances, we were not able to meet the Capital Markets Authority reporting deadline of 31st January 2022,” read the notice. The audited results will now be published before February 15th 2022. This extension is to allow Directors to review additional confirmations and assurances on the financial statements and the firm’s progress of implementation of recovery intiatives undertaken during the period under review.
These reviews, according to the firm more time that was anticipated and must be completed prior to publication of the audited financial statements.
Eveready products
The firm is active in manufacture and sale of branded dry cells D size batteries in East Africa, as well as trade of an assortment of imported Eveready branded flashlights, batteries, razors and accessories.
The firm’s major brands include Eveready, Energizer and Shick. Energizer includes Every Day Use Batteries, High Tech Batteries, Rechargeable Batteries.
Its products includes heavy duty batteries, super heavy duty batteries, general purpose batteries and flash lights.
EVRD closed its trading on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at KSh 1.00 per share on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).
Eveready East Africa began the year with a share price of KSh0.98 and has since gained 2.04% on that price valuation, ranking it 15th on the NSE in terms of year-to-date performance.
