Eveready Delays Publication of its End-Year Results on Pandemic Woes

Eveready East Africa Plc has announced to shareholders that it will delay reporting its results for the financial year ended 30th September 2020.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, we will not meet the Capital Markets Authority(CMA) reporting deadline and will therefore delay in our year end reporting and publishing of the 30 th September 2020 audited results,” said the listed firm in a notice to shareholders dated 31 st January 2021.

The firm’s board of directors has indicated that the extended time will allow it to issue additional confirmations and assurances on the financial statements to include the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the business.

It also intends to review the progress the firm has made to guide its recovery, response to the pandemic and prospects.

The listed firm has a division which supplies batteries and accessories for motor vehicles and trucks. A side division manufactures and sells a range of washing detergents, household bleaches, surface cleaners and fabric softeners under the Clorox and Everclean brands.
