Ethiopian Airlines will launch three weekly flights from Addis Ababa to John F Kennedy Airport in New York beginning June 17, 2019, making it the second station in New York after Newark.
Flights from Addis Ababa to JFK will depart Tuesday Thursday and Sunday mornings and return from JFK to Addis Ababa the same evening
The Airline operates to Newark four times a week; this means that Ethiopian Airways will operate to New York daily.
Flights to JFK will make an intermediate stop in Lome, home base for Ethiopian Airline’s partner ASKY Airlines, in both directions.
Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mr Tewolde Gebre Mariam said the new flight would connect North America’s gateway, and it will be a significant addition to the network in the USA by offering better connectivity for African and US passengers.
