Ethiopian Airlines has partnered with the U.S. embassy in Kenya to provide a charter flight from Nairobi (JKIA) to Dulles, Virginia (IAD) on April 22nd, 2020.
The charter flight will evacuate U.S. Citizens or Legal Permanent Residents together with their immediate family members, with valid entry documents for the United States on a first-come-first-served basis.
On April 18th 2020, the airline also partnered with the Japanese Embassy in Kenya by offering charter flights from Nairobi, en-route Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, then to other destinations.
The Ethiopian carrier also bagged a prestigious deal to carry Kenya’s cargo from JKIA to Europe and Asia using six of its passenger aircraft, amid cries of foul play from Kenya’s national airline, Kenya Airways.
