    EPRA Maintains Fuel Pump Prices in Latest Review

    The Energy and Petroleum regulator(EPRA) has held the pump prices of kerosene, petrol and diesel constant in its latest review, the second time in a row since its last price ceiling set in July 2021

    These prices will prevail between August 15th and September 15th 2021.

    EPRA Data on cost of imported refined, crude oil

    The price of imported petrol increased by 6.21%, from US$ 520.04 per cubic metre in June 2021 to US$ 552.35 per cubic metre in July 2021.

    Diesel increased by 7.36% from US$ 479.01 per cubic metre to US$ 514.25 per cubic metre, while kerosene increased by 9.81% from US$ 449.37 per cubic metre to US$ 493.45 per cubic metre.

    The price of Murban Crude oil lifted in July 2021 was posted at US$ 66.70 per barrel, an increase of 5.29% from US$ 63.35 per barrel in June 2021.

    The Kenya Shilling weakened against the US$ by 0.41% from KSh 107.82 in June to KSh 108.26 per US$ in July 2021.

    EPRA has set the maximum pump prices for petrol, diesel and kerosene in Nairobi remains at KSh 127.14, KSh 107.66 and KSh 97.85, respectively.

    This is compared to KSh 124.72, KSh 105.27 and KSh 95.46 in Mombasa and KSh 126.75, KSh 107.55 and KSh 97.76 in Nakuru.
