The world’s largest Public Relations Company, Edelman, has opened an office in Nairobi as part of its Pan-African expansion plan.
The move comes after the company acquired Kenya’s Gina Din Corporate Communication for an undisclosed amount in December 2019.
Jordan Rittenberry, Edelman Africa CEO, says that the Nairobi office will serve as the East African hub as well as expose Nairobi to Edelman’s international clients and partners.
Jordan added that Edelman was looking for a strategic partner in a dynamic market such as Kenya. Gina Din PR was an easy fit because of its excellence in delivery and quality, and their expansive connections.
The Edelman Africa CEO revealed that the firm will open an office in Lagos Nigeria for its West African Clients. Over the last two years, Edelman has worked in more than 30 countries across Africa.
Gina Din noted, ” Gina Din PR started operations 22 years ago and we have been a front runner in the industry not only in Kenya but also across Africa. As part of our strategic plan, we were looking for a global partner to push our brand forward and Edelman brings international expertise”.
