    East African Venture Capital Association expands its Board of Directors

    The East African Venture Capital Association has announced the appointment of three new board members; David Owino – Managing Partner, Ascent Capital , Yida Kemoli – Senior Partner, Phatisa and Nonnie Wanjihia Burbidge – VP Investor Relations, Emerging Capital Partners.

    The three will join existing board members Eline Blaubboer (Chair) – Africa Tech Ventures, Ayisi Makatiani (Vice Chair) – Fanisi Capital, Koome Gikunda – ACTIS, Duncan Onyango – Acumen, Saskia van der Mast – DOB Equity, Biniam Yohannes – Catalyst Principal Partners, Sarah Ngamau – Kuramo Capital and Faisal Jiwa – AfricInvest.

    In February, EAVCA appointed Eva Warigia and Esther Ndeti as the Co-Executive Directors to assist the association’s outreach in advocacy, intelligence, networking and training on private equity with a regional focus.

    EAVCA is a member association representing the private equity and venture capital industry across East Africa. Established in 2013, the firm presently represents over 50 members mix of private equity, venture capital and and firms providing services to the industry.
