    EABL to Hold Virtual AGM on 16th September

    Listed beer manufacturer East African Breweries Limited (EABL) has notified its shareholders that the firm’s 98th Annual General Meeting(AGM) will be held virtually on Wednesday, 16th September 2020 at 11:00 a.m.

    Registration for the AGM opened on Tuesday 18th August, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. and will close on Sunday, 13th September, 2020 at 11:00a.m. East African time.

    Shareholders are expected to; confirm the interim dividend of KSh 3.00 per ordinary share paid on 17th April 2020 for the year ended 30 June 2020.

    The meeting will also consider whether to re-elect Carol Musyoka, Jimmy Mugerwa and John O’Keeffe, who are retiring but have offered themselves for consideration for another term.

    Other directors to be considered for re-appointnment include Leo Breen and Ms. Risper Ohaga.
    Shareholders will also approve the retaining of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as the firm’s external auditors.
