Dr Steve Mainda Retires as Board Chairman of HF Group

The Board of Directors of HF Group has announced the retirement of 74-year-old Dr Steve Omenge Mainda as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of HF Group. This decision was made during the company’s Annual General Meeting(AGM) held on Friday 10th July 2020.

Dr Mainda joined the HF Group Board in July 2009 and under his stewardship, the company has grown and achieved milestones including the successful rights issue in 2015; redemption of tranche I and II of the 10 Billion Corporate Bond in 2017 and 2019 respectively and the reorganization of the company to create a non-operating holding company, HF Group in 2015.

“The Board of Directors appreciate deeply the stewardship of Dr. Mainda spanning over ten years and wish him every success in his future endeavors,” said Ms Regina Anyika, HF Company Secretary.

HF Group began operations in 1965 and has since transformed from being a mortgage financier to a provider of integrated property and financial solutions with interests in real estate development, commercial banking, property finance and insurance.
