    Diani Reef Beach Resort Beats African Competitors In 2018 WTA

    Kenya’s Diani Reef Beach Resort and Spa has received yet another  global recognition as Africa’s leading beach resort for 2018 during the World Travel Awards (WTA) Ceremony.

    The ceremony which was held at the Durban International Convention Centre in South Africa, becomes the third win for the coastal hotel after winning in 2010 and 2015.

    According to the Managing Director Diani Reef Beach Resort and Spa Bobby Kamani, the award is a recognition of the experience the hotel is offering to both domestic and international tourists adding that Diani Reef, as a heritage hotel has made significant improvement in the product and invested considerable time, effort and resources into training its incredible team members.

    “The Diani Reef Family is ecstatic to have been chosen as the winners of Africa’s Leading Beach Resort 2018,we are grateful that our efforts in upgrading our product as well as enhancing our service levels have been recognized by clients who have voted for us.’’ He said

    Further the hotel is said to have open the largest state of the art conference facility in the entire Coastal region, anticipating to benefit from the conferencing delegations visiting the region.

    The ceremony also looks at leading travel industries figureheads from across Africa and the Indian Ocean.

    The Kenyan hospitality industry continues to grow with more international hotels setting shop in the country creating new opportunities for employment.

    PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) had project a total of 13 new hotels to open by 2021, adding 2400 rooms and expanding the hotel capacity by 13% with a 2.5% compound annual increase in available rooms over the next five years in report which also indicated an increase in flights to Kenya, lower park fees, a stable economy, and ongoing growth in domestic tourism.
