Diamond Trust Bank has posted a decline of 10.1% in full year 2017 profit after tax to Sh 6.4 Billion as net interest income grew slightly by 1.5% to Sh 19.7 Billion.
From the earnings report, there was a steep increase in gross non performing loans by a massive 97% to Sh 14.8 Billion.

- •Non-interest income increased by 4% to Sh 5.3 Billion while total expenses grew by 15% to Sh 10.6 Billion.
- •Pre tax profit declined by 7.3% to Sh 8.2 Billion.
- •Net loans and advances to customers grew by 9% to Sh 148.5 Billion while deposits increased 12% to Sh 190.5 Billion.
- •The banks announced a dividend of Sh 2.60 (unchanged from the previous year) to be paid on June 25th 2018.
