Deloitte Kenya Chief Executive Officer Sammy Onyango has announced plans to retire later this month to pursue personal interests.
Effective 1st December 2017, the audit firm has named his deputy, Joe Eshun as the CEO pending completion of a formal leadership election.
Sammy Onyango, who joined Deloitte 38 years ago and became the CEO in 2010, said;
Mr Eshun, a Ghanaian, has been the firm’s deputy CEO since June 1, 2016. He joined the East African firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2006.
Deloitte Kenya is one the longest established professional services firms in Kenya having began its operations in the country in 1907. Today, the firm has more than 20 Partners and more than 450 employees in in Nairobi and Mombasa.
