    Kenyan Stock Market

    EQUITIES

    Turnover declined to Kes.375M from the previous session’s Kes.785M, the number of shares

    traded stood at 16M against 19M posted on Friday.

    INDICES

    The NSE 20 Share Index was up 28.56 points to stand at 4021.14 for the first time since October 9

    All Share Index (NASI) eased up 0.59 points to stand at 147.63.

    The NSE 25 Share Index gained 18.50 points to stand at 4230.67.

    Banking Sector

    The Banking Sector had 3.8Million shares traded and represented 23.23% of the day’s traded

    volume.

    -Equity Bank moved 2.6Million shares at between Kes.41.50 and Kes.42.00.

    -KCB rose to Kes.41.75 on a volume of 362,000 shares, up from Kes.41.50 posted the previous session. -Co-opBank moved 338,000 shares and closed at Kes.18.25.

    Telecomm & Technology

    Safaricom was the day’s biggest mover with 8.6 Million shares changing hands at between Kes.16.35 and Ke.16.95.

    East African Markets

    Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI gained 1.55 percent and 1.01 percent respectively to close at 1,751.51 and 376.14.

    Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI remained constant to close at 157.36 and 131.91.

    Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI went up 0.44 percent and 0.13 percent respectively to close at 2,382.13 and 4,637.64
