    Nairobi

    NSE 20 and NASI index gained 7.75 points and 0.35 points respectively to close at 4,002.63 and 144.39.

    The volume of shares traded today was 17.42mn, valued at KES 643.78mn a 19.71 percent decline from yesterday’s turnover. E.A. Breweries was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 281.30mn representing 43.69 percent of the total market turnover.

    Bulls and Bears Of The Day

    Flame Tree gained 9.60 percent to close at KES 6.85. Longhorn lost 4.71 percent to end at KES 4.05, becoming today’s top loser.

    Uganda: The USE ALSI declined by 0.38 percent to close at 1,728.47 while USE LSI went up 0.03 percent to close at 385.42. A total of 3.87mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 1.85bn.

    Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI remained constant to close at 146.99 and 130.62.Total number of shares traded today was 1.70mn resulting to a total turnover of 476.35mn

    Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI gained 0.95 percent and 0.02 percent to close at 2,377.88 and 4,581.12. Africa Barrick Gold rose 5.51 percent to close at TZS 6,130.00, becoming today’s top gainer. Tanzania Breweries declined 0.07 percent to end the day at TZS 15,030.00 to be the top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 6.15mn shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 27.89bn.
