The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has released a list of 7 licensed derivatives markets trading members. The members are; AIB Capital, Faida Investment Bank Limited, Genghis Capital Limited, Kingdom Securities Limited, NCBA Investment Bank Limited, Standard Investment Bank Limited, and Sterling Capital Limited.

NSE launched the derivatives market in July 2019, the first of its kind in East Africa. The derivatives market enables investors to diversify their investments, manage risk, and deploy funds more efficiently.
Trading Members of the NSE derivatives markets may trade on their own account in order to take up proprietary positions. Stock futures and Index futures are some of the derivatives traded at the NSE market. The exchange aims to grow the list of derivatives traded in the segment in the coming years.
