Citrix expands operations to East and West Africa

Citrix Systems, Inc. an American multinational software company has announced that it is growing its foothold in Africa through an expansion in distribution operations, and that its channel in East and West Africa will now be managed and supported by Citrix South Africa.

A key part of this initiative is the appointment of Drive Control Corporation as a second distributor in Southern Africa. Drive Control will support growing demand for Citrix solutions in the region – particularly for the NetScaler SD-WAN product – and will focus on activating the channel to provide mid-market customers with vital software-defined networking solutions. Citrix other key distributor in Southern Africa, Axiz, will also expand its remit to include East Africa.

Further, Citrix South Africa continues to invest in its home operation, with the addition of a new field sales manager and an additional corporate account manager, to offer greater support to customers in the region.

The partner ecosystem is also vital to Citrix success in South Africa, as well as further afield. Thus, Troye has recently achieved Citrix Solutions Advisor Platinum status. DataCentrix and StorTech have also been met the requirements to achieve Gold Citrix Solutions Advisor status.
