CIB and Kenya Bankers Association Partner to Equip Kenyan Youth in the Finance Banking Sector with World-Class Banking Skills

In a move set to redefine career opportunities for young Kenyan professionals in the Finance & Banking sector, Commercial International Bank (CIB) and the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) have announced a strategic collaboration to launch the latest cohort of the CIB East Africa Credit Analyst Program.

With a strong legacy spanning over 30 years in Egypt, by CIB, this fully sponsored program has trained and empowered young financial professionals in banking & finance, equipping them with real-world exposure to credit assessment, lending decisions, and financial risk analysis. Through this partnership, Kenyan graduates will gain access to a world-class training experience, positioning them for success in both local and global finance & banking markets.

The banking industry is evolving rapidly, requiring a new generation of professionals who are dynamic, globally aware, and technically skilled. “We at CIB, we believe in investing in people. This program isn’t just about training—it’s about unlocking potential, shaping careers, and building the future of banking in Kenya and beyond. Our commitment goes beyond financial services, it’s about developing the next generation of African leaders in finance,” said Abhinav Nehra, CEO of CIB Kenya.

For KBA, the collaboration is a crucial step in empowering Kenya’s young professionals in banking and finance, with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to thrive in the modern financial world.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Kenyan graduates to gain industry-leading expertise and practical experience in banking. The demand for top-tier financial professionals is growing, and this initiative ensures that we are equipping our youth with the right tools to excel, not just locally, but on a global stage,” said Raimond Molenje, CEO of the Kenya Bankers Association.

The CIB East Africa Analyst Program has already seen 39 graduates from two previous trial cohorts in 2020 and 2023 respectively. By extending this opportunity to Kenya, CIB and KBA reaffirm their commitment to fostering talent and strengthening Kenya’s financial ecosystem.

According to CIB Egypt’s Chief Human Resources Officer, this program cultivates emerging professionals into leading banking experts. It transcends conventional training by prioritizing the development of self-assurance, encouraging innovative thinking, and establishing a robust foundation for enduring success in the financial sector.

Applications for the CIB East Africa Analyst Program are now open to Kenyan graduates with a passion for finance and banking. Interested candidates are to apply through https://bit.ly/4hWJQn3 and follow CIB Kenya and CIB Egypt on LinkedIn for more details.
