The Kenya Revenue Authority says three Chinese nationals have been arrested in Nairobi for tax evasions worth KSh 26 million. The directors of Tianyi Limited Zhang Xiaodong, Ming Zhao, and He Yougig were arrested for failing to declare taxes for the sale of 171 housing units known as River Park Estate in Athi River.
“Investigations by KRA show that the three who are directors of Tianyi Limited, a real estate company of residential houses in Athi River. The directors failed to declare and remit taxes amounting to KSh 26 million from the sale of a hundred and seventy-one units,” KRA Commissioner David Yego said.
According to a KRA press release, the culprits paid a bail of KSh 100,000 and will appear in court on 14th October 2019.
