China Southern Airlines has launched two time weekly flights between Nairobi and Changsha, the capital city of central China’s Hunan Province; the flights are meant to boost business and tourism between the two countries.
The airline already operates two weekly flights linking travelers between Nairobi and Guangzhou City, capital of south China’s Guangdong Province.
The non-stop flights to Changsha will be twice per week Wednesdays and Sundays to substitute that between Nairobi and Guangzhou which is on Monday and Friday.
“In the first month of the route launch, the cheapest ticket from Nairobi to Changsha we will go for around Sh 51,485 while a return air ticket between the two destinations will go at Sh69, 616,” the statement issued by the Chinese airline indicated.
The launched flights are seen as an anticipation to the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo which is expected to be held in Changsha between 27th and 29th of this month.
The expo is expected to bring together businesspeople from more than 53African countries and global organizations.
