The Celo Foundation, a nonprofit supporting the development of the Celo open blockchain platform, has announced a $9.35 Million value in funding to 50 projects that broaden access to decentralized technologies.
In a statement, Celo Foundation said the grant recipients represent different sectors such as blockchain infrastructure, dApps, DeFi, developer tooling, ecosystem support, education and community, and UBI.
Launched in March 2020, the Celo Foundation aims to empower anyone with a smartphone to effortlessly access digital assets. The goal of the foundation is to create an ecosystem that fosters a fairer and more inclusive financial system.
