The second largest hamburger fast food restaurant ‘Burger King’ will is set to open its fourth outlet in Thika Road Mall (TRM).
The chain food restaurant has 3 other out lets in Two Rivers, the Hub Karen and Next Gen Mall
The outlet will add to the chain’s presence in the country which is currently has locations in Egypt, Morocco, South Africa and Ivory Coast.
The Kenyan outlets are independently and operated through a franchise agreement with NAS Airport Services Limited a subsidiary of Servair, the 3rd largest airline catering and logistics business globally and the category’s leader on the African continent.
African market is becoming a desirable potential for fast food chains. This includes McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and others. Yum! Brands’ KFC chain started its march towards Africa much earlier than to those deeds.
These global players are turning to emerging markets such as Africa to tap into the rising disposable incomes of the youth and fast food culture driven by changing lifestyles and growing appetite for exotic foods.
