British Airways Changes Commercial Team Heads In Kenya East Africa

British Airways has announced the appointment of Sue Petrie and Cristina Graham to lead the airline’s commercial team in Kenya and East Africa replacing Kevin Leung, who was the country commercial manager for Kenya and Ghana since 2015.

The airline says the change is part of a global review of the way the sales team operates, in an aim to improve its efficiency.

The two will serve as the regional commercial manager, trade – Southern and East Africa for British Airways and Iberia and the regional commercial manager corporate – Southern and East Africa for British Airways and Iberia, respectively.

“I’m really pleased that my role has been expanded to include East Africa. Kenya is the largest and most dynamic market in the region and offers British Airways many opportunities. I’m looking forward to working with my Kenyan colleagues and the travel trade.” Said Sue Patrie.

Sue Patrie is expected to bring her experience of over 30 years’ in South Africa, Mauritius, Angola and Seychelles where the airline has a commanding trade sales

The airline is also hoping to tap into the experience of Cristina Graham who will be ensuring the corporate sales teams meet or exceed their targets, managing global accounts, large local accounts and SMEs and identifying new business.

“By separating the commercial structure into trade and corporate roles we’re able to bring more focus to each. Kenya is the business hub of East Africa and having a dedicated commercial team will help to ensure that we’re better able to better serve large corporates and the growing SME sector in the region.” She said.
