Two Rivers International Finance & Innovation Centre (TRIFIC) has appointed Brenda Mbathi as its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This strategic appointment comes as TRIFIC, a fully-owned subsidiary of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) listed Centum Investment Company Plc, prepares to transform into a vibrant Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and investors’ gateway of choice in Africa.
Brenda Mbathi brings a wealth of experience to her new role as CEO of TRIFIC. Prior to this appointment, she served as the President & CEO of General Electric (GE) East Africa, accumulating over three decades of experience in various fields. Her recent focus on general management, government affairs & public policy, as well as sustainability and inclusion, equity & diversity, uniquely positions her to steer TRIFIC toward becoming a world-class investment hub.

In addition to Brenda Mbathi’s appointment as CEO, TRIFIC also welcomes Justus Kariuki Mate as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Kariuki brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Executive Vice President at Tatu City, a private SEZ located in Kiambu County. His tenure at Tatu City saw him spearhead the operationalization of the zone, making him a valuable addition to TRIFIC’s executive team.
