Bolt Business, the corporate segment of the global ride-hailing giant Bolt, is showing tremendous growth in Kenya, welcoming well over 2,000 corporates onto the platform and boasting a rapid +46% year-to-date growth within Kenya’s corporate ride-hailing market.
- •Bolt launched its Bolt Business vertical in Kenya in 2018, onboarding over 100 corporate customers within its first year of operations.
- •Bolt is not the only ride-hailing company offering corporate ride-hailing solutions, other competitors in the market include Little Cab and Uber among others.
- •Corporate ride-hailing is often used by companies to offer employees efficient means to travel between home and work in addition to travelling to work-related events and meetings – eliminating the need for paperwork and constant reimbursement.
While Bolt Business has recorded over 46% year-to-date growth in organizations onboarding the platform, the number of rides taken has grown at a slightly higher rate, reaching a 47% increase so far in 2025.
This signifies continued market strength and renewed faith among riders as the platform has taken direct action to implement new safety measures and provide new value propositions with options such as Electric Motorbike and the new Comfort category.
Earlier this month, Bolt introduced dashcams in a continued effort to provide both drivers and riders with a safer experience while over the past two years, the company has partnered with the likes of Rescue.co to provide road-side assistance and security which can be requested directly from the Bolt app.
The Kenyan Wall Street spoke with Daniel Njomo, Country Sales Manager, Bolt Business in Kenya who said, “Bolt Business’s continued growth in Kenya is a testament to the trust corporates have placed in us and our long-standing commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and convenient ride-hailing solutions. The latest growth figures highlight how integral our service has become to business travel, supporting companies in both enhancing employee welfare and streamlining operations.”
“By offering a simpler, more transparent way to track, audit, and pay for trips, we have helped corporates save hundreds of hours previously spent on manual reimbursements, allowing them to focus on more strategic work. This efficiency, paired with the everyday convenience our service provides employees, is what makes Bolt Business a trusted partner for companies across Kenya,” Daniel continued.
Bolt Business’s strong growth and renewed momentum in 2025 underscores the strength of Bolt’s brand in Kenya and the confidence companies place in its corporate ride-hailing services.
In Kenya, more businesses are turning to ride-hailing as a practical solution for business travel, reflecting not only on the service’s reliability and widespread accessibility but also the growing relevance of corporate mobility in today’s economy.
In continued conversations with The Kenyan Wall Street, Bolt emphasized the importance of Bolt Business as an integral part of Bolt’s mission. Bolt Business is available in over 50 countries across the globe, with over 50,000 companies using the service globally as of December 2024.
