BOC Kenya Plc Net Earnings Ups 33.9% to KSh 198.1m

BOC Kenya Plc recorded a net profit of KSh 198.1 million for the year ended 31st December 2023 compared to net earnings of KSh 147.9 million in 2022, an increase of 33.9%.

  • BOC Kenya’s balance sheet size grew from KSh 1.95 billion in 2022 to KSh 2.16 billion in 2023.
  • The firm’s Pre-Tax Profit increased from KSh 213.4 million in 2022 to KSh 309.1 million in 2023.
  • Earnings per Share, which measures a firm’s profitability increased from KSh 7.58 in 2022 to KSh 10.14 in 2023.

BOC Kenya, engaged in the manufacturing and sale of industrial and medical gases, mixtures, and welding products as well as installation of pipelines and storage tanks, saw its revenues grow from KSh 1.3 billion in 2022 to KSh 1.5 billion in 2023. The firm has been riding on continued improvements in oxygen infrastructure in the healthcare sector and increased demand for medical oxygen in Kenya.

The BOC Kenya Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of KSh 6.05 per share, the same payout that shareholders received in 2022.
