    Novartis Names Beatrice Gachenge as New Head of Communication for Africa

    Swiss Pharmaceutical Giant Novartis recently named Beatrice Gachenge as the head of Communication for Sub-Saharan Africa. Beatrice, who has over 13 years experience in media, technology and consultancy will be based in Nairobi, the company’s headquarters for the region.

    Beatrice brings extensive experience in strategy in media relations, corporate communication, public relations, and issues management.

    Before her position in Novartis, the Beatrice Gachenge managed McKinsey’s External Relations for Africa. She was also IBM’s Communication leader for East and West Africa, and Deloitte East Africa’s Marketing and Communication Manager.

    Beyond her experience in professional service firms, Beatrice is well versed with both local and international media. She started her career as a journalist, reporting business news in at the Business Daily. Beatrice was also a Correspondent at Thomson Reuters and a News Editor at CNBC Africa.

    Beatrice holds a Bachelors Degree in Communication from Daystar University, looking to complete her Masters of Science in Management and Organizational Development from the United States International University Africa (USIU) in 2020. She is also a seasoned marketing professional with a post-graduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
