    Bamburi appoints new Company Secretary

    The Board of Directors of Bamburi Cement has appointed Waeni Ngea as the firm’s Company Secretary, effective 25th July, 2020.

    Waeni is a practising advocate experienced in legal and corporate governance matters and recently joined the firm as its Head of Legal& Compliance.

    Prior to joining the firm, she worked with British American Tobacco Kenya as head of Legal and Company Secretary. She has also been with Unilever Kenya Limited as Legal Counsel, supporting the East African region.

    She holds a Bachelor of Law degree(LL.B) from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, Institute of Certified Secretaries, Kenya and a Council Member of the Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes (ARBS).

    Waeni takes over from Betty Kanyagia, whose resignation has been accepted by the Bamburi Board.
