91-Day Treasury Bill
The weighted average yield on the 91-Day T-bills rose to 8.541 percent at Thursday’s auction compared to 8.349 percent in the previous week. Central Bank of Kenya offered bills worth KES 4 billion ($39.46 million) and received bids 3.5 times more worth KES 14 billion. The Bank accepted bids worth KES 11.55 billion.
182-Day & 364-Day Treasury Bill
The weighted average yield on the 364-day T-bill rose by 27.9 basis points to 11.684 percent from 11.405 percent at an auction on Wednesday, while the yield on the 182-day bill edged up by 11.5 basis points to 10.811 percent from 10.696 percent. Central Bank offered bills worth a total of KES 12 billion ($118.34 million). It received bids worth KeS 15.35 billion and accepted bids worth KES 10.60 billion.
Next week the bank will offer bills worth a total of KES 16 Billion.
