American Chamber of Commerce to Hold Business Summit in Kenya

The American Chamber of Commerce will hold a summit named AmCham Business Summit in Nairobi on the 4th and 5th of November.

The summit aims to create a platform for business deals between American firms and Kenyan firms. The meeting also hopes to provide easy access for Kenyan businesses into the American Market and the same for US business into Kenya.

The American Chamber of Commerce, Kenya Chapter CEO, Maxwell Okello stated that relations between the United States and Kenya have been slow due to lack of information on businesses and investment opportunities in the two countries.

Maxwell further noted that most American investors do not know the immense investment opportunities in Kenya in sectors such as ICT, banking, tourism, infrastructure, and mining.

In an effort to strengthen US and Kenya relations, and grow US investment portfolio in Kenya, the American Chamber of Commerce has identified sectors like fintech, agri-technology, health and infrastructure as potential sectors for investment by US companies.
