    Alvin Mbugua Appointed Diageo's Head of Caribbean Central America Region

    Alvin Mbugua has been appointed to head Diageo’s operations in the Caribbean & Central America region, with effect from 1st September 2021. He will be based in Panama, and lead 37 markets across the Caribbean & Central America region.

    Prior to his appointment, Alvin Mbugua served as Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) Managing Director, after joining the firm in May 2013 as the Group Financial Controller. He also previously worked as Kenya Breweries Limited Head of Sales Nairobi region in 2018.

    Diageo is a British multinational beverage alcohol company. Its headquarters are in London. It operates in close to 180 countries and produces in more than 140 sites worldwide. It is the world’s largest producer of Scotch whisky.

    The company has a primary listing on the LSE (London Stock Exchange) and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. It further has a secondary listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
