    Aliko Dangote Sets Aside $556 Million to establish World-Class university in Abuja

    According to Nigerian Publisher Vanguard, Aliko Dangote through “Dangote Foundation” has set aside USD 556 Million (200 billion naira) to establish a world-class university in Abuja.

    The university will offer all programmes but with specialty in the area of technology according to the executives of Dangote Foundation. The university will aim to drive technology and research in stimulating economic growth.

    Dangote was quoted saying his desire was to float a unique university of technology with all the necessary infrastructure and best faculty members from across the globe.

    The technical team said they would bank on Dangote’s countless impacts on society so that the project would be a success.The team is consulting widely and looking at other universities across the globe, with a view to creating a unique university that would be different in terms of quality in all its operations.
